Adult Literacy Recognition Awards

Sponsored by a partnership of Quebec adult literacy and adult education organizations.

To recognize the courage of adults who know it's never too late to learn to read and write or to improve their reading and writing. Whether they see this as their only goal or the first step in a longer journey of lifelong learning, these individuals are models for many.

To recognize teachers and tutors who work with adult literacy students - often outside the mainstream in unexpected places. These awards give them a public face and acknowledge their role in helping learners make it through that critical first stage.
